Growing up, she developed a passion for various aspects of arts including painting, sewing, playing piano, singing and acting (theatre art). However, these disciplines were not advised as a career path but instead encouraged to follow the status quo and attain a profession in the sciences or business disciplines.

After primary and secondary education in Ghana, she moved to the United Kingdom for tertiary education were she attained a master’s in MBA Finance. She later returned to Ghana and pursued a career in banking for 12 years.

Alberta has a deep seated passion for various kinds of artworks. Her string art creations commenced in 2021 as a way of adding colour and style to her apartment. AlbyStrings was birthed in 2022 by way of commercializing her work in string art. In April 2024, Albystrings exhibited works at the Adinkra Arts & Crafts show organized by GEPA and was awarded best product innovation.

As an artist, Alberta is deeply inspired by the harmonious interplay between culture, color, and craftsmanship. Her work is a reflection of her journey, both personal and cultural, where each piece tells a story rooted in tradition and expressed through contemporary design.

Through AlbyStrings, she seeks to connect people with the beauty of cultural diversity, encouraging them to embrace the unique stories that her handcrafted pieces carry. Her work is a celebration of identity, a tribute to heritage, and a bridge between the past and the present.
